resuFresh vs Teal

Choose Teal if your bottleneck is organization — tracking dozens of applications, contacts, and resume versions. Choose resuFresh if your bottleneck is the application itself: it rewrites your resume, cover letter, and interview prep for each job in one pass, and lets you practice the interview out loud, for $17.99/month versus Teal+'s $29 per 30 days. Many job seekers could reasonably use Teal's free tracker alongside resuFresh.

What is Teal?

A job-search organizer with a resume builder: a free job tracker and Chrome extension that saves postings from 40+ job boards, plus AI resume and cover letter writing on the paid Teal+ plan.

What is resuFresh?

An AI job-application tool: paste a job description and your resume, and it returns an ATS score with missing keywords, a rewritten resume tailored to that job, a cover letter, interview prep, LinkedIn content, and company research in one pass — plus out-loud AI mock interviews.

Pricing: Teal vs resuFresh

Teal's free plan is broad (builder, tracker, extension). Teal+ costs $13/week, $29 per 30 days, or $79 per 90 days. resuFresh Pro is $17.99/month or $79/year; Max (adds the AI mock interview) is $19.99/month or $99/year; a $9 Day Pass unlocks everything for 24 hours.

How accurate are their ATS scores?

No consumer tool can run your resume through a specific employer's applicant tracking system, and none publishes independently validated accuracy numbers. Every "ATS score" — ours included — is an estimate of how well your resume matches the posting and how cleanly it parses. What differs is how the estimate is made:

resuFresh

An AI model (Anthropic's Claude), instructed to review like an ATS plus an experienced recruiter, scores how well your resume matches the job description you paste, its ATS compatibility, and its overall quality, and lists the most important missing keywords. It is an informed estimate, not a parse by a real employer's ATS — no consumer tool can run your resume through Workday or Greenhouse on your behalf.

Teal

Teal compares your resume to a saved job description and shows which of the posting's keywords you're missing, as a match score. It doesn't publish how the score is weighted.

A useful test for any checker: paste the same resume and job description, then ask whether the missing keywords and fixes it lists are things the job description actually asks for. A score that moves only when you stuff keywords isn't telling you much.

Pros and cons

Teal pros

  • Genuinely useful free job tracker and Chrome extension
  • Keeps every application, contact, and resume version in one place
  • Weekly billing option if you only need a short burst

Teal cons

  • AI writing and full keyword matching need Teal+
  • Reviewers describe the templates as basic and design options as limited
  • Less hands-off: Teal helps you edit; it doesn't produce a full tailored package per job

resuFresh pros

  • One input, one output: resume, cover letter, interview prep, LinkedIn content, and company research are all tailored to the same job together
  • Out-loud AI mock interview with per-answer scoring — rare in a resume tool
  • Lowest monthly price in this group for an unlimited plan ($17.99), plus a $9 Day Pass if you only need one push
  • Free ATS checker works with no account at all
  • Resume text and job descriptions are processed in memory and not stored unless you save them

resuFresh cons

  • New — almost no independent reviews yet, so you're relying on a free trial rather than other people's experience
  • No job tracker and no browser extension
  • Fewer templates than design-first builders like Kickresume
  • No human resume review or expert service
  • The ATS score is an AI estimate, like every other consumer ATS checker

Who is resuFresh best for?

resuFresh is best for job seekers applying to specific roles who want each application tailored end to end — an ATS-checked resume, a cover letter, interview prep, and LinkedIn content for that exact job — and who want to rehearse the interview out loud, without paying $25–$50 a month. It's less suited to someone who mainly needs to organize a large job search (it has no tracker or extension) or who wants a heavily designed resume.

resuFresh vs Teal: FAQ

Is resuFresh a good Teal alternative?

Yes, if you want the AI to do the tailoring for you. resuFresh produces a tailored resume, cover letter, interview prep, and LinkedIn content for each job from one paste, and adds out-loud mock interviews. It is not a replacement for Teal's job tracker or Chrome extension — resuFresh has neither.

Which is cheaper, Teal or resuFresh?

resuFresh's monthly plan is cheaper: $17.99/month for Pro versus $29 per 30 days for Teal+. For a short burst, Teal+ is $13 for a week and resuFresh's Day Pass is $9 for 24 hours. Teal's free plan includes more organizing features; resuFresh's free tier gives one full tailored analysis plus a free ATS checker that needs no account.

Does Teal have an ATS checker?

Teal shows a match score and missing keywords when you compare your resume to a saved job description, with full matching on Teal+. resuFresh has a free ATS checker that needs no account and scores against a job description you paste.

Can I use Teal and resuFresh together?

Yes. A common setup is Teal's free tracker and extension to collect and track postings, and resuFresh to generate the tailored application and practice the interview for the roles you prioritize.

Does resuFresh have a job tracker like Teal?

No. resuFresh saves resumes and application packages to your profile, but it has no job tracker or browser extension.

How we compared

Disclosure: resuFresh wrote this page, and we make resuFresh. Weigh it accordingly. We tried to make it the comparison we'd want to read: every competitor fact below comes from that company's own pricing or product pages, or from its public Trustpilot profile, checked in October 2026. Where a vendor doesn't advertise a feature we say "not listed" rather than guess. Prices change — check each vendor's site before you buy.
